How will the process be assessed?
Throughout the Exhibition you will be given assessment tasks and tools for you to carry out. Sometimes these documents will be self assessments, sometimes peer assessment and sometimes assessments your teacher will carry out. These assessments will be about the skills you have shown, the attitudes you have demonstrated and the IB Learner Profile. For example there may be an assessment about how well your group has worked as a team, how well you have shared the workload and how well you have listened to one another and resolved disagreements.
One of the ways we will be tracking and reflecting on the whole process from the early stages will be through your process journals. These are personal journals where each of you will be reflecting on all elements of the Exhibition including the Learner Profile and attitudes, transdisciplinary skills, knowledge, conepts and action. You will use photos and words to share the process and thinking that has gone on as you experience the Exhibition.
Your final presentation will also be assessed for how well you understand your issue. This will include your ability to explain more than one point of view. You will also be assessed on how well you can communicate your understanding. Your teachers will add assessment criteria here closer to the exhibition evening.

Assessing the Exhibition Product
The Exhibition is all about the process of going through student driven inquiry. This is where success will be seen. Although we will be sharing a final 'product' in April, your eight week journey is where you will feel a sense of achievement in this unit. You will look at how you work collaboratively with your classmates and other members of the community. You will focus on reflecting on your thinking, collaboration and organization, as well as all of the approaches to learning from the PYP. The Exhibition is a process and success is shown and felt on the day to day interactions and work that is going on in and out of the classroom.
With that said there are expectations for your final product here they are:
